Product Description
Using calf coats reduces heat loss and maintainace requirements for energy. The extra thermal insulation diverts energy to growth and reduces cortisol/stress and so aids in preventing disease.
The Liverpool University Dairy Farm have found the calf coats to be very useful in bucket fed calves in winter, for the first 3 weeks of life in housed calves .
These jackets are made of a durable, dirt, and water resistant washable nylon outer shell with a polyester, insulated lining.
Adjustable rear leg straps and velcro chest strap allow the jackets to stay on the calves. A reflective strip also makes it easy to find calves at night. Field-tested on 600 calves.
